These pics were taken in Switzerland on March 1-12, 2001.
Citrix opened our European headquarters in Schaffhausen, Switzerland, and sent some financial people over to that office to train the new-hires. One of these was our friend Nadine. Adam and I decided that we were going to pay her a visit, and spend some time hitting the slopes along the way!
After flying into Zurich, we first drove to Schaffhausen to meet with Nadine and visit our new office. Schaffhausen was a great little town, with nice views of the Rhein Falls, as well as a cool fort/outpost overlooking vineyards, the Monat.
After spending a night in Schaffhausen, we met up with Nadine's friends Nikki and Caoimhe, and then drove to St. Moritz, one of the best ski resort towns in all the Swiss Alps. We spent a week in St. Moritz, with most of my time spend learning how to snowboard. It took me a few days to get used to it, but everyone else seemed to be experts.
Between hitting the slopes and nursing my bruises, we did a lot of wandering about the town. I have way too many stories to even begin documenting here!
Next up was a few days in Chur to visit Nadine's other friends. We hung out with this really cool Australian, Darryl who showed us all over Chur. A few of the cool sights included the Geiger Bar and the Ultra McDonald's.
I was so sorry to leave. I'll never forget the view from the top of the world!
