2003 North America International Auto Show

These pics were taken at Cobo Hall in Detroit, Michigan on January 12, 2003.

I flew up to Detroit for a weekend to hang with my friend Derek Croft. I learned two things...Never go to Detroit in winter, and Canada is the happiest place on Earth. After getting back from Canada, we detoured to the Detroit Auto Show. There was a lot to see at the show, it was much bigger than the show in Miami. We saw the new Lamborghini Murcielago roadster, Rolls-Royce Phantom, Porsche Cayenne Turbo, Maybach 62, Ford GT Concept and the new Aston Martin AM V8 Concept. The best concept was the Dodge Tomahawk Motorcycle powered by a 500hp V10 engine from the Viper, capable of over 400 mph. But the best production car was the $600k, ultra-limited-edition Ferrari Enzo.

After the show, we walked around downtown Detroit for a while. We saw the Renaissance Center, which is GM's world headquarters. We saw Joe Louis Arena where the Red Wings play. We saw a really cool statue of George Washington that was standing by a church.

And that's not all we saw.
