2003 BMW Z4 (E85) 2.5i

These pics were taken at my house on March 2, 2003.

I took delivery of my Z4 on February 24, 2003, after searching multiple dealers all weekend for the color/option combo that I wanted. I was fearing having to place a special order, but finally I found one sorta-close to what I wanted. Specs are:

Black Sapphire Metallic Exterior
Beige High Performance Leather Interior
Brushed Aluminum Interior Trim
Black Top
5-speed Manual Transmission
Premium Package
Convenience Package
Bi-Xenon headlights
Foglights

I bought the car from Vista Motors in Pompano Beach, FL. I test drove a couple variations (2.5 manual, 3.0 automatic, 3.0 manual) before finally deciding on what I got. It's only been a week of ownership as I write this, but I've put 600 miles on it this week alone, and I've loved every minute of it. With temps in the 80s so far this spring, it's perfect top-down weather.

BTW, a good Z4 resource is Roadfly's Z4 Messageboard.

Update: 4.22.03

I added some pics of my 1:18 model Z4. It's made by Kyosho, it's Sapphire Black, and it's really cool. Too bad the interior's red and not beige like mine. Get your own at BMW's online store.

Update: 5.01.03

I just got my new wheels put on!! They are ADR MSport rims in HyperBlack (black center and polished aluminum rim). The wheels are 18 x 8.5 and the Nitto tires are 235/40s all around. I also had the tire shop install BMW centercaps. The only thing left to do now is get new springs...although I'm still trying to decide on that one as the car already sits pretty low, but it would be nice to eliminate the rest of the wheel gap. All the work was done at Goodroads in Fort Lauderdale.

You can also see my chrome exhaust tips and Roadster license plate frame.

And of course, a pic of Tommy the Dog.
