In the fall of 1999, over Thanksgiving weekend, a bunch of us went on a trip to Amsterdam. I jumped at the opportunity, having never been to Europe before. I was a little wary of the reason for the trip, considering the destination, but once we arrived, I found I enjoyed this unique city very much.
From the awesome Central Station where the trains stop, to the gigantic Rijksmuseum which can take weeks to fully explore, Amsterdam offers quite a bit. I checked out the Van Gogh Museum, took a canal tour, and even wandered around much of the city on foot.
